The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, also called UMFCCI, is a national level non-governmental organization representing and safeguarding the interests of the private business sector. Founded in 1919, UMFCCI comprises 16 Regional and State Chambers' of Commerce and Industry, nine Border Trade Associations, 48 Affiliated Associations and about 30,000 members. UMFCCI acts as a bridge between the State and the private sector presenting the views and interests of business to the Union Government.
The GMBC - German Myanmar Business Chamber is the official membership organization of German businesses and a platform for bilateral exchange and co-operation and the voice of German business in Myanmar and Myanmar companies with business activities and interest in Germany. We want to offer a platform for dialogue with the Myanmar business community and government along with initiating joint projects in a spirit of partnership and mutual benefit.
EuroCham Myanmar, funded by the European Union, was formally launched in Yangon in December 2014. EuroCham – serves as the voice of European business in Myanmar. Its main mission is to advocate member interests with organisations in Myanmar, the ASEAN region and the EU. The creation of a European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar reinforces the mutually beneficial relationship between the EU and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
MIFFA is Non Government Organization as well as Non Profit Association. MIFFA start forming with 10 freight forwarding Companies and representing 49 Companies meantime, comprising 35 Regular members and 14 Associate members. MIFFA offered Deputy Minister of Ministry of Transport, H.E. Col.Nyan Htun Aung as Honorable member of Association.
Asean Federation of Forwarders Association (AFFA), organization established by the Bangkok Declaration (1967), linking the nations of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Subsequently, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar (1999), and Cambodia were admitted. ASEAN seeks to promote socioeconomic progress and regional stability through cooperation in banking, trade, technology, agriculture, industry, and tourism. Members agreed in 1992 to create the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA). In 2005, ASEAN established the East Asia Summit as a broader regional forum for its members and China, South Korea, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand.
FIATA, International Federation of Freight Forwarders was founded in Vienna/Austria on May 31, 1926.FIATA, a non-governmental organisation, represents today an industry covering approximately 40,000 forwarding and logistics firms, also known as the "Architects of Transport", employing around 8 - 10 million people in 150 countries.FIATA is the largest non-governmental organisation in the field of transportation. Its influence is worldwide.
